Peruvian textile exports have jumped to US$ 1.03 billion during the initial seven months of the current year, registering a 24.06 percent growth over the corresponding period of 2010.
Devanlay Perú was the top Peruvian exporter with US$ 80.71 million during the period, showing a 110 percent year-on-year rise, according to the Peruvian Society of Foreign Trade (ComexPerú).
Confecciones Textimax exported textiles worth US$ 60.16 million, up 49.42 percent from a year earlier period. While Topy Top earned revenue of US$ 50.31 million in exports during the January-July period, Michell & Cia brought in US$ 34.55 million and Sudamericana de Fibras US$ 34.27 million.
The other companies which made it to the list of top ten textile exporting firms were Hilanderia de Algodón Peruano with US$ 28.04 million, up 31.69 percent; Industrias Nettalco with US$ 26.83 million, up 23.50 percent; Textiles Camones with US$ 25.73 million, up 45.72 percent; Cotton Knit with US$ 25.67 million, up 17.24 percent; and Corporación Fabril de Confecciones with US$ 21.65 million, up 62.56 percent.
