Chinese textile & clothing exports hit highs in July

Chinese textile and apparel overseas trade totaled US $ 150.7 billion in the first seven months this year, representing an increase of 25 percent year on year, of which, exports grew by 26 percent, while imports gained by 17 percent.
China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce said that China's textile and apparel trade amounted to US $28 billion in July, reflecting an increase of about 24 percent year on year, of which, exports were US $26 billion, up 25 percent year on year.
Exports of textiles and apparel peaked and set a record high in July.
In July this year, Chinese textile and apparel exports to the Europe and the United State created a record high within the year. Among them, China's exports to the EU registered US $6.99 billion, up 33 percent year on year; over the same period.
Chinese textile and apparel exports to the United States amounted to US $4.28 billion, an increase of 13 percent year on year. In addition, China's textile and apparel exports to Japan grew 30 percent in July.
In the ASEAN market, Chinese textile and apparel exports to ASEAN reached US $1.77 billion in July, approximately an increase of 42 percent. In the first seven months, China's exports to ASEAN marked US $11.07 billion, an increase of 41 percent year on year.
