Turnaround at Chandra Asri ethyelne & polyethylene plants

Chandra Asri – the Indonesian producer of ethyelne and polyethylene will undertake a maintenance turnaround for both the plants in the fourth quarter of 2011.
While speaking to fibre2fashion, a top company official said that both the plants located in Banten Island will be taken off-stream on October 5 and will remain shut for a period of around 35-40 days.
The production capacity of the ethylene plant is 600,000 tons per year and that of the polyethylene plant is 340,000 tons per annum.
