MEG & PSF trends dip, polyester yarn stable

Paraxylene (PX) price remained range bound. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1710/ton to US$ 1720/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1715/ton to US$ 1725/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to near US$ 1715/ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price improved. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 10100/ton to RMB 10200/ton. In Asian market, PTA price stood in between US$ 1315/ton to US$ 1320/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1320/ton.

Ethylene price remained stable, at US$ 1085/ton in S E Asian market. In FE Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 955/ton to € 965/ton and in imported goods, it was in between US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In U.S.A market, selling offers for ethylene was in the range of 63.00
cents/pound to 63.25 cents/pound.

MEG price went down further to US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG declined in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In Chinese market, MEG price fell below US$ 1290/ton.

BGPET Chips price was stable in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1795/ton to US$ 1805/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1800/ton for exportable goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13450/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets improved marginally to US$ 1750/ton to US$ 1770/ton and in Indian market CIF base price was assessed in the range of US$ 1740/ton to US$ 1750/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12950/ton to RMB 13050/ton.

PSF price descended in N E Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 2000/ton to US$ 2010/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 2010/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13950/ton to RMB 14050/ton.

Polyester yarn prices in Chinese domestic market remained stable. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 14600/ton and RMB 14850/ton. Selling offers for DTY were stable around RMB 16350/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 2020/ton, 2025/ton and US$ 2235/ton, respectively.
