Raw material prices across polyester value chain continue to dip

Paraxylene (PX) price declined in Asian markets to around US$ 1670/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1665/ton to US$ 1675/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1665/ton to US$ 1670/ton. In Chinese market, price went down near US$ 1670/ton.
In S E Asia, PTA price fell further. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 9925/ton to RMB 9975/ton. In Asian market, PTA price declined in between US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1275/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1275/ton.
Ethylene price declined at slower rate and was assessed below US$ 1080/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 860/ton to € 870/ton and price of imported goods was in between US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1255/ton. In U.S.A domestic market selling offers were in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound.
MEG price descended sharply to US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1255/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG fell in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton and in domestic Chinese market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 9800/ton to RMB 9850/ton.
BGPET Chips price decreased in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1785/ton to US$ 1795/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1795/ton for export goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 13300/ton.
FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets declined marginally at US$ 1735/ton to US$ 1745/ton and in Indian market FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1710/ton to US$ 1720/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12900/ton to RMB 13000/ton.
PSF price continued to dip in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1975/ton to US$ 1985/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1980/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13600/ton to RMB 13650/ton.
Polyester yarn prices in Chinese domestic market declined. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 14200/ton and RMB 14500/ton. Selling offers for DTY were stable around RMB 16200/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1945/ton, 1975/ton and US$ 2215/ton, respectively.
