Over 200 exhibitors from 20 different countries worldwide comprising of leading fiber, yarn, knitwear manufacturers presented their latest collection and trends. Eminent designers, fashion brands and buying houses graced the occasion by their presence.

The concept of Pilbloc brand anti-pill fiber was displayed through a range of collection of garments. The collection displayed garments made with different types of blends with Pilbloc brand fiber - including fashion wear for men, women and children; school uniform sweaters for a clean and smart look to the students; very soft “cashmere feel” sweaters for young children and ladies wear, “silky” garments to mention a few. The types of garments displayed included Sweaters, T-Shirts, Mufflers, Stoles, Throws, Caps, Woven and Knitted Jackets, Overcoats and others. The collection displayed the diverse range of garments possible with Pilbloc brand fiber, in all types of colors and blend combination.

The Acrylic Fiber Business team with Amit Dayal (Head - Marketing, Acrylic Fibre Business), Ashwini Chotani (Regional Head - Sales, Acrylic Fibre Business) and Eklovya Bajaj (Sales Head - China) were present during the event, which iterated the commitment of the business to deliver the best to customers and look forward to long-term relationships. They personally met the visitors and explained them the key attributes and applications of Pilbloc brand fiber.

Pilbloc fibers from Birlacryl has been developed using a special technique to prevent “pilling” over repeated usage. Pilbloc fiber prevents “pill” formation in garments and subsequently slows down apparel ageing. These fibers have been engineered to have a sustainable anti-pilling performance throughout the life-time of a garment. Products made from Pilbloc fibers have been tested and proven by several international accrediting agencies. Pilbloc fibers deliver pilling performance of 4-4.5 grade in ICI Pill Box Test Method. These fibers give a silky soft touch and feel to the skin.

Pilbloc is a guarantee for anti-pilling performance throughout the lifetime of the garment since the anti-pilling properties are not obtained by chemical means. The response for Pilbloc range of products was excellent. At Spin Expo, Birlacryl reached out to Designers, Brands, Buying Houses, Merchandisers, Spinners and Fiber Traders. The visitors were intrigued by the new styles and blends of the products which were promoted at the event.

Particularly noticeable was the wide spectrum of visitors from different sectors of the industry who were interested in Pilbloc. Spin Expo 2011 has certainly reinforced the position of Pilbloc and strengthened its base in China.
