Planned outage at PX & PTA plants of IOCL in Q4

The biggest oil refiner in India – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) has announced a planned outage at its PX-PTA production facilities.
This scheduled turnaround is expected in fourth quarter of 2011. The plant will be taken off-stream for approximately seven days, however the actual date is yet to be finalised.
At this production facility, IOCL produces 360,000 tons / annum of PX and 553,000 tons / year of PTA.
Since the both the plants are interconnected to each other, outage will affect the production of both the petrochemical products.
