Pakistan's imports of Chinese gray silk fabrics up

Pakistan imported 22.11 million metres of gray silk fabrics from China during the first seven months of the current year, which is an increase of 10.96 percent year-on-year.
During January-July period of 2011, Chinese gray silk fabrics imported by Pakistan were worth US$ 72.66 million, up 55.33 percent year-on-year.
Average price of imports during the review period was US$ 3.29 per metre, up 40.17 percent year-on-year. However, this was the lowest average price for Chinese gray silk fabrics among major markets.
Pakistan's imports accounted for 16.66 percent of overall Chinese exports of gray silk fabrics in value, and 22.5 percent in volume.
