PX & ethylene trends firm, polyester yarn declines

Paraxylene (PX) price remained firm in Asian markets and stood at US$ 1560/ton. In S E Asian region, price was quoted in between US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1560/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1560/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to near US$ 1560ton.
PTA price in Chinese market hovered in between RMB 9275/ton to RMB 9325/ton. In Asian market, PTA price declined in between US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1190/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1185/ton.
Ethylene price was firm at US$ 1020/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 925/ton to € 935/ton. In the N W European market, Ethylene price was at US$ 1245/ton (on CIF base).
MEG price remained stable at US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1225/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG was stable in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton and in domestic Chinese market; price was in the range of RMB 9275/ton to RMB 9325/ton.
BGPET Chips price declined in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1725/ton to US$ 1745/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1735/ton for export goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12500/ton.
FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable at US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1730/ton and in Indian market FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1700/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12400/ton to RMB 12500/ton.
PSF price remained stable in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1930/ton to US$ 1940/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1935/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13300/ton to RMB 13500/ton.
Polyester yarn price declined in Chinese domestic market. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 13650/ton and RMB 13950/ton. Selling offers for DTY were down to RMB 15850/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1870/ton, 1900/ton and US$ 2170/ton, respectively.
