Raw material prices in polyester value chain reverse falling trend

Paraxylene (PX) price increased in Asian markets and was quoted at US$ 1580/ton. In S E Asian region, price stood in between US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the F E Asian market, price hovered in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1585/ton. In Chinese market, price went down to near US$ 1580ton.

In S E Asia, PTA price shot up. In Chinese market, offer price hovered in between RMB 9725/ton to RMB 9750/ton. In Asian market, PTA price declined to in between US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1240/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1235/ton.

Ethylene price was firm at US$ 1050/ton in S E Asian market. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1045/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 925/ton to € 935/ton. In the N W European market Ethylene price was at US$ 1245/ton (on CIF base).

MEG price increased drastically at US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1255/ton. In Indian markets, price of MEG was stable in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1265/ton and in domestic Chinese market; price was in the range of RMB 9675/ton to RMB 9725/ton.

BGPET Chips price was stable in S E Asian region and was assessed between US$ 1725/ton to US$ 1745/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1735/ton for export goods. In Chinese market BG PET Chip was at RMB 12500/ton.

FGPET Chips prices in Korean markets remained stable at US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1730/ton and in Indian market FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1700/ton. In Chinese market FG PET Chip was at RMB 12400/ton to RMB 12500/ton.

PSF price declined in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1880/ton to US$ 1890/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1890/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were in the range of RMB 13000/ton to RMB 13050/ton.

Polyester yarn price was stable in Chinese domestic market. Offers for POY and FDY were at RMB 13650/ton and RMB 14000/ton. Selling offers for DTY were down to RMB 15850/ton. In export market offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1870/ton, 1905/ton and US$ 2170/ton, respectively.
