Home furnishings, textiles on display at TN handloom expo

Products of handloom weavers from all corners of the State are being showcased at the handloom expo going on at Dindigul in the southern Indian State of Tamil Nadu.
Around 40 weavers representing various handloom weavers' co-operative societies are showcasing their collections at the expo, to entice people of all age groups during the festive season.
A whole range of items like finely designed cotton and silk saris and dress materials, towels, dhotis, lungis, table covers, decorative materials, mats and carpets, designed by handloom weavers from Madurai, Erode, Nagercoil, Karur, Virudhunagar, Dindigul, Paramakudi, Coimbatore and Tiruchengode are being showcased at the expo.
Also displayed at the expo are the newly designed bed sheets and flickering satin bed sheets made by Erode's Chennimalai based weavers' cooperative societies.
Besides home makers, the expo also caters to the requirements of designers and interior decorators, as a variety of home furnishing and interior decoration products are being showcased, to match the requirements of professionals as well as ordinary people alike.
