Chinese textile industry has benefited from installation of latest machines, according to a recent study.
Currently, some enterprises in China's domestic textile industry are employing over 150 people per ten thousand spindles, with the figure even reaching 180 for some factories. On the other hand, some enterprises which have installed latest machines and adopted modern technologies are employing 60 to 80 people per ten thousand spindles. The reduction in the number of workforce has led to reduction in cost and increase in productivity.
Similarly, cotton textile enterprises, which once employed over 300 people on an average, are now employing only around 25 people for the same amount of work. This has been made possible mainly through installation of latest machines, in addition to innovative management.
In short, due to the adoption of latest technologies, the efficiency of Chinese textile labour has reached an advanced level.
