Textile items were in great demand at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
At the Exchange, businessmen from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Hong Kong, Russia, UAE and the UK purchased cotton yarn, cottonseed meal, treated cotton waste, and one-tone and jacquard terry towels worth more than 5.2 million Manat.
Overseas entrepreneurs entered into foreign currency contracts of more than US$ 65.6 million across all categories.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, founded in 1994 by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, is the major economic institute of the country, carrying out function of a principal body of state regulation of export-import transactions.
