Export volume of Chinese cotton yarn-dyed fabrics on decline

The export volume of Chinese cotton yarn-dyed fabrics is reflecting a declining trend. In July 2011, China's export volume of cotton yarn-dyed fabrics fell 0.8 percent compared to the export volume of July 2009, according to data released by the China Textile Industry Association.
In contrast, the export volume of cotton blended yarn-dyed fabrics increased by 28.15 percent over the same period of 2009.
During 2005-10, China produced 17.6 billion metres of yarn-dyed fabrics, showing average annual growth of over 8 percent.
In 2010, the country produced 3.4 billion metres of yarn-dyed fabric, which was an increase of 300 million metres over 2009, and an increase of 1.1 billion meters over 2005.
