TMI Group buys Textilbedarf Langen

The TMI Group of Companies, a global manufacturer of testing instrumentation, announced that it has acquired Textilbedarf Langen GmbH & Co KG(TBL), Monchengladbach, Germany.

Textilbedarf Langen GmbH & Co KG (TBL) is a leading distributor of machines, accessories and testing equipment for the textile and yarn industries.

For more than 75 years, TBL has established a reputation of providing exceptional service to the textile machinery, components and parts industry in Germany and Europe. As a part of the TMI Group, TBL will integrate the TMI Group brand into their existing product offerings throughout Europe. TBL will also serve as the European sales headquarters as TMI Europe.

"We are very pleased to welcome TBL to the TMI Group," says John Sullivan, owner of the TMI Group of Companies. "The acquisition of TBL will continue to strengthen the TMI Group brand name in Europe and Germany. " "Our new offices at TBL in Germany will provide additional technical sales and service support to our European customers."

Richard Hollweg, the managing director of TBL, said "The takeover by TMI Group of Companies allows TBL to continue our existing business model in the textile industry and will ensure the future of the company being responsible for the sales in Europe for the whole TMI Group."

Textilbedarf Langen GmbH & Co KG supplies textile machines, textile testing equipment and a wide variety of components and accessories to the European textile market. TBL was established in 1935. For more than 30 years TBL was the agent of the TMI Lawson-Hemphill division for textile testing equipment with sales and service support for Central Europe.

The TMI Group is a global organization that provides laboratory testing solutions to measure quality of materials and consumer products for a variety of industries. The TMI Group of Companies includes Testing Machines Inc., New Castle, DE, Lawson-Hemphill, Swansea, Ma, Messmer Büchel BV, Netherlands, Adamel Lhomargy, France, TMI Canada, Lako Tool, Perrysburg, Ohio and Textilbedarf Langen GmbH & Co. KG,(TBL), Monchengladbach, Germany.
