PX, PTA, MEG & PSF prices rise

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX price hovered in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In F E Asian countries, PX price marked in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In Chinese market, price surged up and was assessed at US$ 1500ton.

In Asian markets, PTA prices went up. In F E Asian and S E Asian region, PTA prices rose and hovered in between US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1135/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1125/ton. In Chinese market, PTA price marked in between RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.

In S E Asian market, Ethylene price remained stable in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In F E Asian market, price was unchanged in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In European domestic market, price was steady in the range of € 905/ton to € 915/ton. In N W European market, Ethylene price was at US$ 1245/ton (on CIF base). In U.S.A market, Ethylene price was in the range of 46.50 cents/pound to 47.50 cents/pound.

MEG price maintained its upward trend. In Indian markets, MEG price was offered in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1145/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 9050/ton to RMB 9125/ton.

In S E Asian region, BGPET Chips price was stable and stood between US$ 1700/ton to US$ 1710/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1705/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip went up and was offered at RMB 12200/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices were stable and quoted in the range of US$ 1590/ton to US$ 1600/ton and in Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1565/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip hovered at RMB 11550/ton to RMB 11650/ton.

PSF price went up a bit in Asian market and offers hovered in the range of US$ 1785/ton to US$ 1790/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1795/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF was steady in the range of RMB 12350/ton to RMB 12450/ton.

Polyester POY prices dropped down in Chinese domestic market and were quoted at RMB 13200/ton. FDY and DTY selling offers were unchanged and stayed at RMB 13300/ton RMB 15300/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1800/ton, US$ 1800/ton and US$ 2090/ton, respectively.
