Australian Wool Innovation Ltd (AWI), a leading Australian wool organisation will begin an initiative to educate the Indian consumers about the various good but forgotten properties of wool.
AWI is a not-for-profit company owned by over 29,000 Australian woolgrowers and invests in research, development, innovation and marketing along the global supply chain for Australian wool.
Woolmark is a brand owned by AWI and provides consumers with guaranteed fibre content and an assurance of quality. AWI operates a global licensing program to ensure that any product bearing the Woolmark logo meets strict wool quality and performance criteria.
As part of the initiative, AWI will roll out 'Wool Celebration' - a consumer education program in November in India. The organisation will give due importance to designers, along with top textile and apparel Indian producers.
