Downtrend in polyester chain raw material prices

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX price hovered in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1520/ton. In F E Asian countries, PX price marked in the range of US$ 1510/ton to US$ 1515/ton. In Chinese market, price surged up and assessed at US$ 1515ton.
In Asian markets, PTA prices decreased. In F E Asian and S E Asian region, PTA prices went down and hovered in between US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1115/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1115/ton. In Chinese market, PTA price marked in between RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8600/ton.
In S E Asian market, Ethylene price went down in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In European domestic market, price was in the range of € 895/ton to € 905/ton. In N W European market, Ethylene price was at US$ 1180/ton (on CIF base). In U.S.A market, Ethylene price was in the range of 48.25 cents/pound to 48.75 cents/pound.
MEG price declined sharply. In Indian markets, MEG was offered in the range of US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8850/ton. In U.S.A market selling offers were around 49.50 cents/gallon.
In S E Asian region, BGPET Chips price was stable and stood in between US$ 1695/ton to US$ 1705/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1705/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip went up and offered at RMB 12100/ton.
In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1560/ton and in Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip hovered at RMB 11300/ton to RMB 11400/ton.
PSF price declined marginally in Asian market. PSF offers hovered in the range of US$ 1775/ton to US$ 1780/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1785/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers declined in the range of RMB 12050/ton to RMB 12150/ton.
Polyester POY prices dropped down in Chinese domestic market and were quoted at RMB 12900/ton. FDY and DTY selling offers were unchanged and marked at RMB 13200/ton RMB 15100/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1765/ton, US$ 1795/ton and US$ 2070/ton, respectively.
