China's domestic benzene market looked light on Wednesday and there was limited supply of benzene in the market.
In the domestic market, transactions ranged between 7,650-7,750 yuan/ton in East China, 7,500-7,600 yuan/ton in South China and 7,600-7,700 yuan/ton in North China.
Overall market atmosphere appeared light as there was less number of transactions among traders. There was relatively limited supply and transactions by downstream factories were in small volume. The market is not expected to see major changes in the short term.
Meanwhile, Northwest Brand of China National Petroleum has adjusted its ex-factory prices. The implementation level of Lanzhou Petrochemical is 6,950-7,050 yuan/ton and it is 6,600-6,650 yuan/ton for Urumqi Petrochemical. Both production and marketing are normal.
Northern branch of Sinopec has listed its benzene supply price at 7,700 yuan/ton. At present, inventory pressure is not high and there is stability in both production and sales.
