Textile, clothing exports form Turkey's Bursa province up

Textile and clothing exports from Turkey's northwestern province of Bursa, an important textile hub in the country, increased during the first ten months of 2011.
During January-October period of 2011, the province exported textile and readymade apparels worth US$ 1.3 billion, as against the export of US$ 1.1 billion worth of items during the corresponding period of 2010, the Uludag Exporters' Association (UIB) stated.
Textile sector's exports from the province surged to US$ 928.6 million in the first ten months, an increase of 22.2 percent over the same period of 2010.
Similarly, exports of the clothing sector rose to US$ 441.7 million during the review period, up 9.2 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year.
