Although the number and value of trade remedy cases against China have decreased this year, the friction strength has not yet diminished.
Data from the Ministry of Commerce says that China suffered over 50 trade remedy investigations from January-September 2011, involving US $3 billion.
The Minister of Commerce Chen Deming called on all countries to reduce the use of trade remedy measures, to cautiously use the measures, not to abuse the measures, as well as to prevent the politicization of economic and trade issues.
He also points out that countries should cooperate to establish technological innovation system in line with actual economies, to promote technology transfer and cooperation, and to eliminate discriminatory policies of high-tech exports.
