China's silk commodities exports to Pakistan decline in value

The export of silk commodities from China to Pakistan amounted to US$ 22.89 million during the first three quarters of 2011, showing a decline of 6.52 percent year-on-year.
However, volume-wise the exports registered an increase of 14.99 percent year-on-year to 2071.40 tons during the nine-month period.
It was due to the decrease in average unit price to US$ 11.05 per kg, down 18.71 percent y-o-y.
Pakistan's import accounted for 16.18 percent and 4.27 percent of total Chinese export of silk commodities during the period by volume and value, respectively.
