China's domestic caprolactam (CPL) production grew marginally in November from that in its previous month.
November CPL output stood at about 39,100 tons in November 2011, a slight increase of 0.77 percent from 38,800 tons in October, according to statistics.
Meanwhile, Chinese CPL producers have reaped rich profits in 2011, as prices zoomed from 24,000 Yuan/ ton to 32,000 Yuan / ton from January to April and stayed in the range of 30,000 Yuan / ton in June to July.
Their profit per ton was over 10,000 Yuan / ton in those periods. Although caprolactam price has now dropped to about 24,000 Yuan / ton, CPL producers still have decent profit margins.
