H Dawson to supply raw wool samples for Suit Academy

H Dawson Wool, a UK based supplier of wool has teamed up with The Woolmark Company for taking further a programme aimed at acquainting UK tailoring retailers and department stores regarding the natural advantages and beauty of wool.
The wool supplier will be providing raw wool for Suit Academy workshops, to be organized in stores like House of Fraser.
The programme originally is a brain product of Berwin and Berwin, a Leeds-based manufacturer of suiting fabrics, which is working with The Woolmark Company for the countrywide campaign.
The Woolmark Company said they have already organized such workshops with House of Fraser and Moss, and with the excellent feedback they have received they look forward to introduce the same to other leading suiting retailers, next year.
Acclaiming H Dawson's gesture of providing wool samples for display and circulation, Woolmark Company said it has been imperative for them to rightly narrate the story of wool since its very inception to being a final in-store garment, so as to persuade the consumers to look beyond the garment label to check what fibre it is made from.
Ranging from coarse wool to the finest types, H Dawson each year supplies about 75 million kg of raw wool to apparel producers across the globe. Procured from 35 countries, the firm sells scoured wool, noble fibres, wool tops, greasy wool and open tops.
According to H Dawson, when it comes to production of quality apparels such as suits and fine knitwear, there cannot be a better substitute for wool.
Wool as a basic material not only affords durability to the garment, but also a comfort feeling, while retaining its smart looks for years.
Besides, these garments also help the wearers to cut on their power bills as it keeps the wearer warm in cold and cool when it is hot.
H Dawson wool is used in apparel, speciality knitwear, carpets, interiors, upholstery and transport fabrics, felts and industrial-type products, both woven and non-woven.
