Jan '12
Character World, the UK-based home textiles specialist, will be producing various products for video games brand SEGA's Sonic the Hedgehog series.

The UK's No.1 supplier of beds, bedding & bedroom accessories will be manufacturing Sonic-branded curtains, fleece blankets, fleece ponchos, towels, rugs, face clothes, sleeping bags, duvet covers, cushions, toweling ponchos, beanbags, etc.

Character World is planning to unveil the products for autumn/winter 2012, but retailers have already shown a great deal of interest in these products.

SEGA's Head of Brand Licensing (Europe), Sissel Henno exclaimed that Character World has long experience and it will be able to create a wonderful range of Sonic bedroom textiles.

Sonic the Hedgehog entered the video gaming world in the early 1990s and it soon became an icon of the young generation. It is one of the widely recognizable characters in the world that appeals to a large gaming market.

Tim Kilby, Brand Manager of Character World said gaming provides a new area of opportunity and Sonic is going to be key part of the company's home textiles portfolio in 2012, in concurrence with ambitious growth plans of SEGA.
