PX & MEG prices gain, PTA declines

Paraxylene (PX) prices were bounced back in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, PX prices were at US$ 1590/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were in between US$ 1585/ton to US$ 1595/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1590/ton.

In Asian markets, PTA price declined. In F E Asian and S E Asian region, PTA prices were in between US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1160/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was quoted around US$ 1160/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA price was around RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8850/ton.

In S E Asian market, Ethylene price remained stable in the range of around US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1085/ton. In F E Asian market, price was in the range of US$ 1080/ton to US$ 1090/ton. In N W European market, ethylene price was at US$ 1200/ton (on CIF base). In U.S.A market, ethylene price was in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.25 cents/pound.

MEG prices jumped up in S E Asian markets and were offered in the range of US$ 1115/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG price was in the range of RMB 8550/ton to RMB 8650/ton. In European market, selling offers were in the range of US$ 960/ton to US$ 970/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips price increased in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1585/ton. In F E Asian markets, selling offers were around US$ 1580/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip was offered at RMB 11500/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips price was in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1440/ton and in Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1445/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip hovered at RMB 10850/ton to RMB 10950/ton.

PSF Asian price was stable in Asian market and hovered in the range of US$ 1720/ton to US$ 1725/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were around US$ 1720/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF offers were stable around RMB 11850/ton to RMB 11950/ton.

Polyester POY prices in Chinese domestic market did not change. POY price was around RMB 12050/ton. FDY and DTY selling offers were at RMB 12800/ton to RMB 13400/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, FDY and DTY were at US$ 1645/ton, US$ 1735/ton and US$ 1820/ton, respectively.
