Slight easing in British wool prices

The thirteenth British Wool Sale of the 2011/12 Season was held by the British Wool Marketing Board at Wool House and offered 1,898,304 kilos.
The first sale of 2012 maintained the improved demand seen at the final sale of 2011,albiet, with a slight easing in prices. This produced a clearance of 55% (just over a million kilos)
Compared to the last time sold:
Pick and Supers up to 2% cheaper
Halfbred Hogs Buyers Favour, Wethers up to 2% cheaper
Crosses 1 - 1.5% cheaper
Radnors 1 - 1.5% cheaper
Selected Welsh firm, other Welsh Buyers Favour
Swaledale 2.5% cheaper
Cheviots 2% cheaper
Blackface Buyers Favour
