Chinese POY market in adjustment mode

In the previous week, Chinese polyester POY prices continued to show an adjusting posture, most offers were flat, but prices rose for a small number of popular varieties.
However, trade volume was limited as demand from downstream weaving and processing enterprises shrank. Production and sales rate of POY enterprises declined to about 80 percent.
Latest offers from major POY companies were basically flat. POY75/36F price was at 12,300 Yuan / ton, POY100/48F at 12,100 Yuan / ton and POY150/48F was at 11,900 Yuan / ton.
POY inventory was at the level of a week and the market is expected to maintain an adjusting state in the short term.
