Major Chinese PTA plants operate at normal rates

Most of the PTA plants operated by major PTA producers are operating at normal capacities and all of its production is being supplied to contract users.

Sinopec, the state-owned refinery and petrochemical major has recently announced its February PTA contract listing price at 9,500 Yuan / ton.

Another PTA producer - BP Zhuhai which has a total PTA capacity of 1.6 million tons / year has announced settlement price for January PTA contract at 9,100 Yuan / ton and listing price for February PTA contract at 9,500 Yuan / ton.

Yi Sheng Petrochemical has announced PTA settlement price for January at 9,100 Yuan / ton and listing price for February contract at 9,600 Yuan / ton. It has been reported that operations of one plant with a PTA capacity of 650,000-tons / year is still suspended and is expected to restart production in February.

Far East Petrochemical, which has two PTA plants with production capacity of 600,000 tons / year has announced settlement price for January contract at 9,100 Yuan / ton and listing price for February contract at 9,200 Yuan / ton.

Shanghai Oriental Petrochemical has implemented settlement price for January contract at 9,100 Yuan / ton and its listing price for February is at 9,500 Yuan / ton. It will begin commercial operations of its newly expanded PTA capacity of 100,000 tons / year in February.
