Cotton linter & VSF prices firm up last week

In the past week, price of Cotton Linter increased to higher levels and hovered around RMB 4400/ton to RMB 4600/ton in Chinese market. Market fundamentals remained quite firm; therefore trading offers were in between RMB 4500/ton to RMB 4550/ton.

Price of dissolving pulp increased at a constant rate in the week and shot up sharply in the range of RMB 9250/ton to RMB 9500/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported dissolving wood pulp was in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton.

Pulp Imported from U.S.A, Canada and Sweden were in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1285/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1250/ton. Pulp imported from Brazil was heard at US$ 1500/ton, but no deals found concluded.

Price of VSF price remained firm during the last week. Producers firmly held their offers around RMB 17050/ton to RMB 17650/ton. Earlier, price opened at RMB 17000/ton, but with support of demand fundamentals, trading price hovered around RMB 17700/ton. In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF, hovered in the range of US$ 2.35/kg to US$ 2.45/kg.
