Yarn sales perk up after Chinese Spring Festival

Orders from downstream garment enterprises have slightly increased after the Spring Festival. Yarn demand has picked up and cotton consumption of textile enterprises continues to improve.

China's January PMI fell to 50.5 percent, up 0.2 percent from the previous month, of which, export order index of garment industry was 46.9 percent, and new order index was above 60 percent..

This data suggests that China's manufacturing industry is slowly recovering, of which, domestic demand of textiles has strongly picked up.

But as international demand is still weak, especially demand in Europe and the United States, garment enterprises have to improve their marketing strategy.

Experts have advised garment makers to increase domestic sales and at the same time, expand market shares in Asia, Africa and Latin America, while ensuring that their sales volume in Europe and America does not fall.

The increase in orders from garment enterprises will drive cotton, yarn and fabric sales, thereby enhancing production of textile enterprises and play a good role in restoring textile industrial value chain.
