CEMS Lanka, which operates in Sri Lanka under the aegis of multinational exhibition organizer CEMS-Global USA, will organize three global expositions titled 'Tenth Dye+Chem', 'Third Textech' and 'Third Int'l Yam & Fabric Show' from March 1 to March 3, 2012 at Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), Colombo.

The expos will focus on the entire textile and garment industry of Sri Lanka, inclusive of segments like textile and garment technology, machinery industry, dyes and fine speciality chemicals, and yarns and fabrics.

Looking at further penetration in the rapidly growing textile industry of Sri Lanka, CEMS-Global, last year launched its key global trade expositions for the trade and industry of the island, so as to draw renowned international producers and suppliers to the island through these expos.

Dye+Chem, Yarn & Fabric and Textech are the global series of CEMS-Global's exhibitions which have been launched under the same name in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, while Dye+Chem & Yarn & Fabric series spans to five nations, also covering India and Singapore.

Since it came into being in 1992, CEMS-Global has marked a noteworthy presence as a multinational exhibition organizer in South & Southeast Asia, with offices in seven countries. CEMS-Global each year organizes more than 35 exhibitions covering all key trade and economy segments.

The Tenth Dye+Chem Sri Lanka 2012 Int'l Expo, while not remaining solely focused on the textile and apparel sector, targets the whole production industry of the island.

South Asia's textile and apparel industry holds a significant position in the export industry, and hence to tap the potential of this sector and to further enhance exports, CEMS-Global has been holding the Textech series of expos for past 13 years, and last year launched the same in Sri Lanka.

According to the organizers, Sri Lanka needs to host such exhibitions showcasing the present-day technology, which it can procure to produce enhanced quality goods and thereby to better withstand overseas competition in international market.

The exhibitions have received support from the Sri Lanka Apparel Exporters' Association, Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) and Fabric and Apparel Accessory Manufacturer's Association (FAAMA).
