OEKO-TEX Sustainability Award for exemplary businesses

In the framework of the “OEKO-TEX Sustainability Award” the international OEKO-TEX society will present awards for the first time to businesses who have achieved outstanding performances and innovations in the area of sustainability next year.

All manufacturers and dealers worldwide who are certified according to OEKO-TEX standard 100, 1000 or 100plus can apply – more than 10,000 businesses in total. Interested businesses can submit their application on the dedicated website by completing the form supplied.

A panel of experts from the OEKO-TEX society will at first select two “businesses of the month” from all applications each month – one business which has its products certified to the OEKO-TEX standard 100 under aspects of human ecology and another production company which employs proven environmentally friendly and socially acceptable conditions according to OEKO-TEX standard 1000.

These companies and their achievements in terms of sustainability will be portrayed in detail on the OEKO-TEX website. In April 2013 the specialist panel will then select the winners of the “OEKO-TEX Sustainability Award 2013” from the group of “businesses of the month” in the five categories environmental management, safety management, quality management, social responsibility and product innovations.

The “OEKO-TEX Sustainability Award 2013” is inaugurated be the OEKO-TEX society on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the OEKO-TEX test and certification system and includes no prize money.

Participating businesses will receive, among other things, a certificate, a logo image and an online advertising banner to inform their customers about their commitment to sustainability and about the nomination for the “Sustainability Award”.
