Chinese VSF prices bottom out in previous week

In the just concluded week, price of Cotton Linter did not change from higher level. Price of Cotton linter was stable at RMB 4175/ton. In the last update from market, price was in the range of RMB 4100/ton to RMB 4200/ton, whereas trading offers were in between RMB 4150/ton to RMB 4225/ton. Buying sentiment remained moderate.

Price of dissolving pulp declined sharply in the week. Price of dissolving pulp was quoted in the range of RMB 8950/ton to RMB 9050/ton in Chinese domestic market. Price of imported pulp was in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1300/ton.

Pulp Imported from U.S.A, Canada and Spain were in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1300/ton. Counter offers were around US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1275/ton. Pulp imported from Swedish was heard at US$ 1200/ton and pulp imported from Russian was at US$ 1250/ton.

Price of VSF bottomed out, during the previous week. Producers firmly held their offers around RMB 16450/ton to RMB 16600/ton. Earlier price opened at RMB 17050/ton, but without support of demand fundamentals, trading price went down to RMB 16600/ton.

In Chinese market, offers for imported VSF, hovered in the range of US$ 2.35/kg to US$ 2.40/kg. Market experts believed that price should be range bound around US$ 2.45/kg in near future.
