Textile import & export show down trend in year 2005

Textile share in total imports by Finland stood 1.2 percent during Jan-Oct, 2005, which shows 2 percent drop, according to the Monthly Survey of Import and Export released by National Board of Custom Finland for October.
Similarly, export share of textiles and related industry stood at 0.6 percent showing a 7 percent decrease.
In October, 2005, exports of textile and wearing apparel share in total export as well as for Jan-Oct stood at 1.1 percent down by 2 percent.
Other products like leather and leather products share of total export was 0.2 percent showing 5 percent increase in October and 3 percent during Jan-Oct, 2005 period.
Chemical and Chemical products share in total export accounted for 6.2 percent in October down 4 percent.
Import by product by activity
In October, 2005, Imports of textile and wearing apparel share in total import stood at 3.2 percent in October decline by 7 percent.
Leather and leather products share of total import was 0.7 percent showing 15 percent rise in October and 9 percent rise during Jan-Oct, 2005.
Chemical and chemical product import share in total import stood at 10.8 in October 2005 showing 5 percent rise.
