In order to supply skilled manpower to the textile industry, a textile training centre will be set up in the Indonesian province of West Java by the Indonesian Textile Association (API), in partnership with the provincial government of West Java.

API said textile industry is very important in West Java and the training centre would serve as a place where people can learn skills needed for the textile sector and earn their livelihood.

The new centre would be the first such training institute in the country. The setting up of the training centre would contribute in lowering unemployment rate in Indonesia, particularly in West Java, API added.
