PTA & MEG trends dip, PX & ethylene steady

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asia. In SE Asian countries, PX prices surged up and were assessed in the range of US $1560/ton to $1565/ton. In FE Asian market, they were quoted in between $1535/ton to $1540/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market also remained stable and was quoted in the range of $1560/ton to $1565/ton.

PTA prices went down in Asia. In FE Asian and SE Asian countries, PTA prices stood around $1155/ton to $1165/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market was at $ 1165/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were marked at RMB 8750/ton to 8800/ton.

Ethylene prices stayed steady in the Asian market. In SE Asian countries, it hovered in the range of $1415/ton and $1420/ton. In FE Asian region, it stood around $1415/ton. In US market, ethylene was stable in the range of 64.50 cents/pound to 65.50 cents/pound. In European domestic market, price went down and was assessed at €1225/ton. In European market, price was in the range of $1545/ton to $1555/ton.

MEG prices followed the downward trend. In SE Asian markets, MEG prices hovered in the range of $980/ton to $985/ton. In China market, MEG prices were assessed in the range of $980/ton to $985/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were offered in between RMB 7425/ton to RMB 7475/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips price was quoted stable in the range of $1565/ton to $1575/ton. In FE Asian markets, counter offers were around $1550/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices at RMB 11000/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chip prices were around $1440/ton to $1460/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of $1465/ton to $1475/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices remained stable and stood around RMB 10375/ton to RMB 10425/ton.

PSF prices remained stable in Asian market. In FE Asian market, PSF prices hovered in the range of $1595/ton to $1600/ton. In SE Asian market, PSF selling offers were in the range of $1495/ton to $1500/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices were inert in the range of RMB 11050/ton to RMB 11150/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were marked at RMB 11200/ton, RMB 12600/ton and RMB 11300/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were unchanged at $1520/ton, $1705/ton and $1520/ton, respectively.
