The Chinese textile industry is considered one of the biggest sources of water pollution in the country, according to a research report.
While, the textile industry releases a very large volume of polluted water, its capacity to recycle and reuse the water is very low.
Since the Chinese textile and garment sector is the largest in the world, its capacity to create an impact on the environment is enormous.
Among the wastewater created by the textile industry, about 80 percent comes from dyeing and finishing sector, followed by chemical fibers with about 12 percent, and another 8 percent wastewater is created by other segments.
