Sciessent, makers of Agion Active and Agion Lava, reveal a new way that brands can deliver the ultimate in freshness assurance to their customers. Agion Active and Agion Lava customized technologies are applied to a brand's textiles during the finishing process, providing a level of odor elimination performance that is built right into the fabric. At Performance Days, the company will feature innovative Agion Active treated fabrics representing over 15 mills including Burlington, Optimer drirelease and Sitip.

Agion Active represents the next generation of odor control for textiles and apparel. Agion Active is a dual technology applied to textiles as a fabric finish creating gear and apparel that never smells. Designed to fit into the most demanding applications and environments – from performance and athletic apparel to sporting goods, Agion Active controls odor to deliver unparalleled, long lasting freshness. Agion Lava is the latest and most environmentally friendly technology offered to the textile and apparel market. Literally based on lava rocks, the finish adsorbs offensive odors that surround garments – and regenerates with each wash/dry cycle so it's always ready to perform. The Agion Lava technology is part of the Agion Active finishing system or is available alone as a finish.

“We are proud to provide brands a way to differentiate themselves by offering a level of odor elimination technology that raises the bar for performance fabrics,” said Paul Ford, CEO of Sciessent. “We are looking forward to developing our existing relationships at Performance Days, and partnering with new brands that attend this industry leading show.”

Sciessent has long standing relationships with textile mills all over the world, and team members work directly with manufacturing staff to assist with training that ensures the technologies are applied to the brand's desired effect. Through these innovative partnerships, Sciessent helps forge the way for brands to deliver the best in odor elimination performance to their customers.

Sciessent, located in Wakefield, Mass., is a leader in providing customized solutions that enhance the value of partners' products. Sciessent's Agion and Agion Active brands are based on silver and other naturally occurring elements and have been incorporated into a wide range of consumer, industrial and healthcare products, including cell phones, shoes, keyboards, water filters, medical catheters and ice machines. Sciessent's customers include many leading brands such as Dell, Motorola, Columbia, Adidas, PPG, Carrier and DuPont.
