PX, PTA & MEG prices dip; polyester POY stable

Paraxylene (PX) prices plunged down in the Asian countries. In S E Asian region, PX prices dropped down and were in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1460/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market declined sharply and were quoted in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton.
In the Asian region, PTA prices inched down. In F E Asian and S E Asian countries, PTA prices plunged down to US$ 1125/ton and US$ 1130/ton, respectively. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market dipped and were in the range of US$ 1140/ton to US$ 1145/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
Ethylene prices showed mix reaction in the Asian market. In S E Asian countries, Ethylene prices dropped to US$ 1190/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed steady at US$ 1230/ton.
In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased slightly and were in the range of 54.50 cents/pound to 55.00 cents/pound. In European international and domestic markets, Ethylene prices remained stable at US$ 1365/ton and € 1070/ton, respectively.
MEG prices dropped down in Asia. In S E Asian market, MEG offer prices were in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In China market, MEG prices went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and hovered in the range of RMB 7550/ton to RMB 7600/ton.
In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1480/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined and were offered at RMB 10675/ton.
In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was assessed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices plunged down and hovered in the range of RMB 10275/ton to RMB 10325/ton.
PSF prices dropped down in the Asian market. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were in the range of US$ 1575/ton US$ 1580/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were marked at US$ 1480/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and hovered in the range of RMB 11000/ton to RMB 11050/ton.
Prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady in Chinese domestic market and were offered at RMB 11250/ton, RMB 12500/ton and RMB 11300/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at US$ 1530/ton, US$ 1690/ton and US$ 1520/ton, respectively.
