Asian ethylene & MEG witness mixed trends

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asia. In S E Asian market, PX prices surged up were assessed in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices moved up and were assessed at US$ 1450/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton.

PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1090 to US$ 1095/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1090/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped down and were offered in the range RMB 8325/ton to RMB 8375/ton.

Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asian countries. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were assessed at US$ 1140/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices went down in European international and domestic market, and were assessed at US$ 1265/ton and € 995/ton, respectively.

MEG prices too showed a mixed trend in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, MEG prices surged up and were assessed at US$ 995/ton. In China market, MEG prices remained unchanged in the range of US$ 970/ton to US$ 975/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down slightly and were quoted in the range RMB 7375/ton to RMB 7425/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1450/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices stayed unchanged and were offered at RMB 10600/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices were stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price was quoted in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1345/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices declined slightly and hovered in the range of RMB 10175/ton to RMB 10225/ton.

PSF prices declined in Asian countries. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were witnessed at US$ 1565/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were assessed at US$ 1465/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 10925/ton to RMB 10975/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, FDY and DTY prices remained stable and were marked at RMB 11100/ton, RMB 11100/ton, and RMB 12400/ton respectively. In export market, offers for POY and DTY stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1505/ton and US$ 1675/ton, respectively while FDY price went down and assessed at US$ 1480/ton.
