Decline in Asian PX, PTA & MEG trends continue

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asia. In S E Asian market, PX prices went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices went down and were assessed at US$ 1415/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market plunged down and were assessed in the range US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton.

PTA prices too went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1055 to US$ 1060/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices hovered at US$ 1055/ton.

PTA imported from Taiwanese market dropped down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1065/ton to US$ 1070/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were assessed in the range RMB 8225/ton to RMB 8275/ton.

Ethylene prices followed a mixed trend in Asia. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined sharply and were assessed in the range of US$ 1020/ton to US$ 1025/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and hovered at US$ 1140/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices went up and were quoted in the range of 52.00 cents/pound to 52.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dropped down in European international and domestic market, and were assessed at US$ 1245/ton and € 990/ton, respectively.

MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, MEG prices went down and were quoted at US$ 960/ton. In China market, MEG prices dropped down in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices plunged down and were quoted in the range RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.

In S E Asian countries, BG PET Chips prices declined in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1420/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices stayed stable and were assessed at RMB 10500/ton.

In Korean markets, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1270/ton to US$ 1290/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were quoted in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices stayed stable and hovered in the range of RMB 10175/ton to RMB 10225/ton.

PSF prices stayed steady in Asia. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1555/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were at US$ 1455/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 10875/ton to RMB 10925/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester DTY and FDY prices stayed steady and were marked at RMB 12400/ton and RMB 11050/ton, respectively while POY prices declined slightly at RMB 10900/ton. In export market, offers for DTY and FDY stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1670/ton and US$ 1480/ton, respectively while POY price plunged down to US$ 1470/ton.
