CPL to follow downward trends in short-term

The Chinese caprolactam (CPL) market which was relatively stable at the beginning of the previous week, declined towards the end of the week.
In the first few days of last week, CPL prices were assessed at US$ 2,350–2,400 / ton (CIF China), amid steady demand from the downstream market.
However, in line with feedstock market, the tide turned in the second half of the week and CPL trends dipped to US$ 2,350–2,370 / ton at the weekend.
Looking at the current situation and market uncertainties, it is expected that CPL market will follow downward movement in the short run.
