Raw material prices in polyester value-chain dip

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PX price dropped down and was offered in the range o US$ 1215/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1195/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market went up and was assessed in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1280/ton.

PTA prices declined in Asia. In S E Asian region, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 920 to US$ 925/ton. In F E Asian region, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 915/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 930/ton to US$ 935/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices stayed stable and were quoted in the range RMB 7125/ton to RMB 7175/ton. 

Ethylene prices declined in Asian region. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices dropped down and were quoted in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were offered at US$ 930/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of 41.50 cents/pound to 42.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were unchanged in European international and domestic markets went up, and were quoted at US$ 1105/ton and € 900/ton, respectively.

MEG prices went down in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 855/ton. In China market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were assessed in the range RMB 6475/ton to RMB 6525/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1360/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices went down and were offered at RMB 9300/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were offered in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8975/ton to RMB 9025/ton.

PSF prices dropped down in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices declined at US$ 1440/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF offers were at US$ 1340/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices dropped down and were quoted in the range of RMB 10975/ton to RMB 10125/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were marked at RMB 9900/ton RMB 11200/ton and RMB 9600/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY dropped down and were offered at US$ 1325/ton, US$ 1490/ton and US$ 1265/ton, respectively.
