PX & PTA reverse trends to slip again

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in the Asian market. In S E Asian region, PX price went down and were offered in the range of U$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In F E Asian region, PX prices were offered at US$ 1185/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market stayed stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1255/ton.

PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices dropped down and were assessed in the range of US$ 910 to US$ 915/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 905/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PTA prices plunged down and were offered in the range RMB 6925/ton to RMB 6975/ton.

In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 930/ton.

In U.S.A market, Ethylene prices went down and were offered in the range of 41.50 cents/pound to 42.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1105/ton and € 900/ton, respectively.

MEG prices plunged down in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 840/ton. In China market, MEG prices went up in the range of US$ 855/ton to US$ 860/ton. In Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were assessed in the range RMB 6275/ton to RMB 6325/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices dropped down and were quoted at RMB 9150/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8825/ton to RMB 8875/ton.

PSF prices declined in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1405/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were quoted at US$ 1305/ton. In Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged down and were offered in the range of RMB 9875/ton to RMB 9925/ton.

In Chinese domestic market, Polyester DTY and FDY prices stayed stable and were offered at RMB 11200/ton and RMB 9500/ton, respectively while POY prices went down to RMB 9700/ton. In export market, offers for DTY and FDY stayed steady and were assessed at US$ 1490/ton and US$ 1245/ton, respectively while POY price went down at US$ 1290/ton.
