Chinese benzene market stable

The Chinese benzene market was stable yesterday and prices were flat. While crude oil prices rebounded, benzene market basically stabilized.

On June 20, benzene prices in East China was in the range of 7,450-7,500 Yuan / ton, in South China prices were around 7,400-7,550Yuan/ ton and in North China it was around 7,350-7,500 Yuan / ton.

Operating rate of downstream benzene consumers was low. However, downstream factories are expected to expand production, which will boost demand.

But overall, the there is a lack in demand in recent times, due to which, market transactions are moderate. The market is expected to maintain correction trend in the near future.

Meanwhile, the East China sales branch of Sinopec sets its benzene listing price at 7500 Yuan / ton.
