Asian PX, PTA & MEG trends rise marginally

In the Asian polyester feedstock market, only PX, PTA and MEG rose marginally, while ethylene, PSF and PFY stayed stable on July 3.

In SE Asia, PX prices rose today from US $1,232 / ton (CFR) to $1,257 / ton, up 2 percent and PTA grew from $957 / ton (CFR) on July 2 to $982 / ton on July 3, a rise of 2.61 percent.

Ethylene prices in SE Asian market stayed stable today at $932 / ton (CFR), while MEG trends hiked slightly by 2.34 percent to $872 / ton (CFR), respectively.

In FE Asia, BG PET Chip price too was steady at $1,310 / ton on July 3.

In the Chinese market, PSF maintained stability and was offered at $1,380 / ton (FOB). 

Again, in China domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY trends were stable and assessed at $9,600 / ton, $11,000 / ton and $9,400 / ton, respectively.

In the Chinese US dollar market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY were steady and quoted at $1,278 / ton, $1,461 / ton and $1,233 / ton, respectively.
