Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt: “‘Source it’ at Texprocess 2011 was very popular among decision makers from contract manufacturers and fashion companies. On the basis of the echo from the première, we have fine-tuned the concept of ‘Source it’ 2013 to bring it even more into line with the needs of apparel manufacturers.”
‘Source it’ 2013 will be centrally located in Hall 5.0, in the immediate vicinity of the sewing and joining product segments, and thus perfectly embedded in the flow of Texprocess visitors. Additionally, the ‘i-tex’ apparel sourcing system enables representatives from contract manufacturers and apparel labels to get in touch online before the fair, and to make optimum preparations for the fair.
The sourcing event at the world’s leading trade fair for textile and apparel technology offers an additional benefit for both production companies and fashion labels. For the former, it is an excellent opportunity to obtain new orders and find suitable machinery at Texprocess. For the latter, it is a chance to discover not only innovative production machines but also interesting production companies.
Summarising, Jürgen Brecht, Head of Technical Development & Production Management Clothing Marc Cain and an important contributor to the development of the ‘Source it’ concept, says: "With the spectrum of production countries and the quality of the companies taking part, ‘Source it’ 2011 was very good. This platform supplements Texprocess perfectly and is excellently tailored to the needs of the apparel sector. We shall certainly be attending ‘Source it’ 2013."
The sourcing service is aimed at export-promotion companies, national associations and institutes of the textile and apparel industries and contract manufacturers from the world’s main producer countries. Organisers of national pavilions and contract manufacturers are very welcome to register for ‘Source it’.
