Ethylene prices move up in Europe; dip in US

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in the Asian region. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1455/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1445/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton.

PTA prices increased in the Asian market. In S E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1020/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market went up and were quoted in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 7525/ton to RMB 7575/ton.

Ethylene prices stayed stable in the Asian market. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1085/ton to US$ 1090/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1060/ton.

In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted in the range of 47.50 cents/pound to 48.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices moved up in European international and domestic markets to US$ 1105/ton and € 1045/ton, respectively.

MEG prices rose in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 930/ton. In China market, MEG prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 935/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were around US$ 1300/ton for export goods. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices stayed stable and were quoted at RMB 9550/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices continued to be steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In Indian market, FOB based price were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices went up and were quoted in the range of RMB 9550/ton to RMB 9600/ton.

PSF prices went down in the Asian region. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1455/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were assessed at US$ 1355/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 10200/ton to RMB 10250/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable and were quoted at RMB 10550/ton, RMB 11900/ton and RMB 10550/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY stayed unchanged and were offered at US$ 1420/ton, US$ 1595/ton, and US$ 1405/ton, respectively.
