TANATEX Chemicals is proud to announce that as of June 14th it is officially bluesign system partner. ‘By becoming bluesign system partner we made yet another huge step forward towards a responsible, sustainable and greener textile future’, thus René Hermse, Global Marketing Manager at TANATEX Chemicals.

He continues: ‘Nowadays in all industries, including the textile industry, environmental concerns and consumer protection are becoming increasingly important. We witness much stricter regulations for production methods and components in respect of the hazards they present to humans and the environment. To be able to comply with our customers’ growing greener demands, we are committed to push our eco-efforts to the next level’.

After TANATEX has recently successfully committed itself to the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) philosophy by implementing EPIC3; Extraordinary Programme for Innovative C2C Cellulosics Cycle, now an intensive collaboration with bluesign technologies was a logical step.

Maurice Boeijen, Specialist Product Safety & Regulations at TANATEX Chemicals explains: ‘We successfully complied with all requirements of the bluesign criteria for chemical suppliers. This included an extensive on-site evaluation of the environment-, resource- and workplace situation of our manufacturing site according to the five principles of the bluesign system. We will now start registering our products in the bluesign bluefinder, which is a growing online database containing "bluesign approved" raw materials and components that are allowed under the bluesign system’.

TANATEX Chemicals: one of the world’s leading specialty chemicals producers. Our global activities comprise of two core BU's: Textile Processing Solutions producing a wide variety of textile processing chemicals and Chemical Solutions producing performance chemicals for various industrial applications.
